Placing widgets in individual posts

  I just purchased a new Kiore Moana Theme and I am having trouble putting in the Follow My Blog widgets and an Image widget (for people to access my book’s website). I am unable to put them in individual posts; they appear in the overall blog (main section), but not in individual posts. How can I put them in individual posts?

  Hi Thomas,

  I don’t know if you read the information page about the Kiore Moana theme, but it is specifically designed to display your posts without what it calls the “distraction” of a sidebar:

  Info Page with Beautiful Widgets

  Kiore Moana is designed to display your posts without the distraction of a sidebar. However, if you want to include widgets on your site, you can use the special info page template. This template will arrange your widgets in a beautiful, one-column layout.

  So in short it is only possible to add widgets to the info page. Keep in mind that all themes can be refunded within the first 30 days, so if you decide that you don’t like this, let me know and I’ll cancel the theme and get you a refund.

  I think I’ll stick with the Kiore Moana Theme, as I really like the way it presents photos, both in individual posts and in the main (overall) information page. In the main (primary) page, it allows the viewer to merely scroll down to observe all the photos. Displaying widgets in the info (primary) page is good enough.

  I am wondering, though, what the two available sections in the widget section for this theme mean. One is titled “Main widget area” the other is titled “Header slogan widget area”. I see what the “Header slogan widget area” affects… but I don’t understand where the “Main widget area” stuff displays (if at all).

  Hi Thomas,

  I found what that main widget area section affects. If you look at the support section of the information page which I linked to before, there’s a bit about the Info Page:

  Info Page Widgets

  To include widgets to your Info page just add any number of available widgets to the Main Widget Area under Appearance → Widgets. You can add the Kiore Moana About widget, the Social Links widget, a Featured Video widget and of course all WordPress standard widgets to your Info page.

  I can see why you wouldn’t see it change anything if you didn’t have your Info page set up yet!
