Plain URL/no embed

  How do I NOT embed a URL for a tweet or video? I’ve tried command-option-shift-V but they still embed and un-embedding them is time consuming. There ought to be a way to just paste a plain, visible URL but there’s nothing I can find it help about it.

  WP.com: Yes
  Jetpack: No
  Correct account: Yes

  Hi there,

  So, this is what works for me.

  Don’t just paste the URL, but choose a paragraph block (or even start writing) and once you have some letters in there, then the block toolbar will appear and you can choose the link icon.

  Or you can also try command + K

  Paste the URL in there, and now the text will appear instead of the embedded link.

  Thank you!!! Command K works like a charm. They need to have this in the help documents in the embed section!!! I’m glad you replied, I appreciate it very much.
