If I choose the 4 $ plan in June and I pay for 12 months.
And then in september I choose to upgrade to 8 $ how many months do I have to pay for my upgraded plan ( until the end of the previous plan – the 4 $) ??

If you upgrade from one plan to the next, the new plan will again be valid for a full year from date of purchase. And unless your original plan is near to expiring, you will only pay the difference in cost between the two plans to upgrade.

Hello, If you upgrade to a plan and then before the end of your existing plan decide to upgrade to a higher plan, the cost of your new plan will be pro-rated for the time remaining in your existing plan, but the time remaining in the plan doesn’t change.
Regardless, the plan will renew about 1 month before the end date just to avoid any problems with renewing domains. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/faq-renewing-and-canceling/
