Plan prices in different countries

I’m traveling in the UK but mainly live in the US. Is it cheaper to sign up in the UK now or wait until I’m back in the US. Or is it the same price and does it matter?

Hi there,
If you are asking about prices to upgrade your account, they are universal regardless of where you are. Your credited card will be debited the prices listed on here:

Actually that is not what I’m asking. I happen to be in the UK right now. It says the premium plan is 7GBP per month. How much is this plan if I sign up Friday, when I’m back in the US? And is there a drawback to originating my account in one country vs another? Or is it all exactly the same?

Hi there,
Prices in different currencies are not exactly the same, no. We don’t account for real time exchange rate fluctuations, instead only adjusting prices over longer periods.
Currently the Premium Plan will cost $96 if you buy it in the US, and £84 if you buy it in the UK (plans are billed for a full year at time of purchase). Also keep in mind that if your card was issued by a US bank, you’ll have forex fees charged by your bank/cc company if you buy in another currency.
But you don’t need to wait until you’re back in the US. If you want I can just switch your account currency to USD for you right away.
The account currency is set based on your IP address when you create your account, and is not adjusted automatically when you move to a different location, so even if you wait till you’re back in the US, we’ll need to adjust the currency for you manually.
Just confirm if I should proceed with that.
