Plan upgrade and domain name

  I want to upgrade to Premium plan and switch it to a domain I already own, donjarvis.org I have been using a free WordPress site donjarvisorg.wordpress.com/ for some time. When I apply to upgrade, which name should I use, donjarvis.org or my old free wordpress name?

  Hi there,

  If you are purchasing the Premium Plan, you receive a free subscription credit to register a new domain or transfer/map a domain you currently own elsewhere. Therefore, I would recommend using donjarvis.org.

  Otherwise, if you are not purchasing Premium, then .wordpress.com site address will need to be used since you can’t use a custom domain without a plan.
