Plan Upgrade and Domain Transfer Question

    Following WordPress’ guidance my organization created a free account prior to transferring our existing domain. We will be upgrading to a Business plan, but would like to know if our existing domain must be transferred prior to purchasing the plan? The checkout process lists the current free URL, but we want to ensure this can be changed once our new site is completed.

    Apologies if this question has been recently posed and thanks in advance for any guidance provided.
