Plane theme: Customising header background colour

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I was hoping you might be able to tell me how to change the background colour in the plane theme. I uploaded a header image but it has retained the pale blue background above and below the header image. I tried making the header image taller but it just defaulted to its preferred size and has kept the pale blue background.

when I go into the theme settings the colours page is completely blank and has nothing shown.

Another question also to do with the header is whether there is a way with the Polylang widget or Extra CSS to have a different header image for each language of the website? What I mean is that is the .com would have one and the .com/fr would have another.

  • Hi there!

I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Bluehost.

Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites hosted elsewhere; we can only assist with sites hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:

You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
