Plane Theme has "no" logo option

  I’m tasked with replicating salescart.wordpress.com “as” blog.salescart.com .

  The problem is under Appearance>>Customize….I only have [Site, Title and Tagline] and don’t have [Site, Title, Tagline, and Logo.] Why do I not have the logo option?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi,

  Not every theme includes the logo option, this is at the discretion of the theme author, as I understand it.

  If you have a premium wordpress.com subscription it is possible to add a logo using the CSS ::before selector.

  blog.salescart.com is not hosted by WordPress.com
  Then, you are in the wrong forum.
  This forum is for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.com

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  And you should ask in the WordPress.org forum.

  Sorry, had no idea. Just started trying to use it.
  jsmutek, its the same theme but works “one way” on the hosted by wordpress.com and works completely different off of wordpress.

  I’ll post the question in the other forum. Sorry.

  The Site Logo feature in Plane is available in the self-hosted version as long as the Jetpack plugin is active. Support is already built into the theme, so you don’t need to do anything except activate Jetpack. The readme.txt file in the theme folder has other setup information. Let me know if you have any other questions.

  Thanks Kathrynwp. When I posted in the other forum, they also told me “its the wrong forum”….lol However, that sounds like a simple and effective answer and sounds like it will solve my problem. Just need to go and get that plugin. thanks ;)

  Aw, sorry about that. :)

  I think the confusion is because Plane isn’t available for download on WordPress.org – it’s a close cousin of Flato, a theme already available there, so we likely won’t release it there – which leaves the self-hosted version of Plane a bit “homeless.” ;) I’m happy to answer questions for you here, or if you post in the WordPress.org forum and add the tag wpcom-theme to the tags area of the thread, that’ll get our attention more quickly.
