Plane theme header image hyperlink not working

Hi! I successfully installed a header image on the Plane theme, but the image does not act as a hyperlink to my home page as I would expect.

Any idea what I should look at to make this work?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • I see what you mean. I’ll ask our developers to have a look and we’ll keep you posted here.

  • After some testing, I’d suggest you upload your image as a site logo, rather than as a custom header. You can do that by removing your current custom header, and then adding a site logo under Customizer > Site Title, Add Logo. In addition to being clickable this way, your logo will be sharper, too.

    Hi Kathryn,

    Thanks for your rapid reply!

You are right: the hyperlink works when the image is a “logo” rather than a “header.” I think this is because the header is meant to be a background photo (or some such), which would not normally need a hyperlink. That would also account for the unpredictable resizing of the image that resulted in blur.

This works and I am happy! Thank you!

  • Great, I’m glad the Site Logo option works well for you!
