Plane Theme Questions And Recommendations

I would also like to once again thank the Automattic/WordPress Theme Team and ThemeMeme (who made the Flato theme which Plane was based on) for making/creating/releasing the Plane theme (though I still wish that the body font was a bit larger), we needed more nice general purpose themes like this, and I hope to see more themes like this (with a bigger body font though) in the future. :)

FWIW I am visually challenged but I have zero issues with the body font size on the theme. We can all use keyboard shortcuts to increase or decrease the size of fonts on any site we visit and it is easy to do. So when I see these requests it makes me wonder if I have met another visually challenged person who may not be aware of that reality. -

Thank you, yeah I still remember and know about the zoom option (which I normally never need to use) that you told me about in the past ;) , but in the rare situations where I do have this problem I prefer to report it to recommend a slight font size increase when possible.
For some reason when typing my posts in the WordPress.com Editors for the Plane theme the font was just one or two sizes too small for me making it harder for me so I just recommended a slight font size increase, but it was just a recommendation so that other people and I with this problem would not have to use the zoom option (which I usually never need to use anywhere else).
I probably need new glasses :D , but even then it would still be nice to have fonts no smaller than a certain size for the body font for themes.
Fortunately the Twenty Fifteen theme came out so that font and font size works for me in the Classic Editor, and I have been using it since it came out. :)

Sorry I was repeating myself. I do apologize. There are so many threads I post into that I do not make any effort to recall who I have said whatever to before … lol :D. IMHO Staff will not increase the font size but it is worth a try I suppose. ;) -
I like the font size, in fact what puts me off many themes is the font size is too big and it seems like the page is already on some weird zoom. The font size on Plane is bigger than on this page, which is also fine.

Yeah, they already told me and I can understand, and I am glad that you and others have no problems with the font and font size used. :)
It almost works for me but oddly I have a slightly harder time with it since I make long form posts with long sentences usually and maybe because I just have a harder time with that font for some unknown reason(s) (and maybe it looks slightly different on my Ubuntu partition for me, but who knows), there are many fonts and fonts sizes that I can normally handle, but some fonts and font sizes give me a harder time for some unknown reason(s); but fortunately in this case it is not that bad, and a small change would make it acceptable enough for me or just using the zoom option every time. ;)
I do not like overly large font sizes for title headings, blog titles, blog taglines, but for body fonts I usually like font sizes to be slightly larger than average or on the slightly large side or even average depending on the font; but it depends on the font, and some fonts are easier for me to read in long form with long sentences than others.
I am glad that you have no problems with the font and font size for Plane; besides that small problem and the others that I mentioned earlier on this topic the Plane theme is one of my favorite themes of the year. :)

That is a good question, Mikekinnaird2001, thank you; I did not have it back when I made this topic, but I do have the Custom Design Upgrade now. :)
If that works in the editors too then that would be great, I will have to ask about that. ;)

There is no way I would qualify nor will I march to the corporate beat that this outfit has going with the mobile users getting prime consideration and the desktop users being tortured with unannounced, unexpected and unwelcome design changes.
I pay for 2 mapped domain and 2 no-ads upgrades and get what I pay for but when they come to an end I am history here and will arise elsewhere online. After all I will have one hell of a 9 year long story to blog about on brand new domain on different software.

It would be a huge loss if you left, but I can understand the frustrations sometimes; and sometimes I even wonder how much longer I will stay, but I keep trying to continue giving my feedback/bug reports/help to hopefully help improve things; and I keep blogging mostly out of habit/addiction, because I have found nothing better yet, and as a form of therapy/distraction (for/from social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, depression, joblessness, and more). :(
I also do not meet all the qualifications yet but it would be nice to have more people on the inside with similar thoughts/beliefs/ideas/suggestions/opinions/desires/and more who would be willing to stand up and make those suggestions and improvements possible or at least try and not be afraid to share their suggestions when they see things happening that they do not agree with, and hopefully that would help; but we need more people trying to work from the inside, it will not be perfect, but I think that it would help to have more people on the inside.
If/when you do leave, yes, you will definitely have one long story and the evidence of your time here at WordPress.com will still be scattered/archived around the internet for future generations; and your help will live on in those of us you have helped over the years :) , and please do let us know if you find another service and/or program that is a worthy option to consider one day. ;)
I doubt that it will also, but yeah, that zoom option will work if I decide to use Plane again in the future. ;)
Anyway, I better stop there since I am getting off topic, and this topic is resolved I think. ;)

The forum software completely disrespects the resolved settings so I apologize for you having to set it again.To put this in perspective I used to be a very strong willed and even fearless kind of person in the political and environmental world. When I became disabled I chose to devote 50% of my time to helping others and here at wp.com is where I selected to do that as I could manage that and my business too.
Just prior to my 65th birthday this August I became acutely aware that I have a heart condition and late onset adult asthma. I am not ready to leave this life yet. But I cannot afford to become stressed out, so I have to sweep many things out of the corners of my heart ie. out of the corners of my mind (to Buddhists the two are the same), and focus on slaying my ego before I pass on.
I have no ill will towards anyone. I am grateful to be alive and grateful, for every friend I have made online. I love almost everyone I have met here at wp.com and that, of course, includes Staff. I sincerely hope everyone will be both well and happy.

Thank you for sharing that Timethief, I remember some of your posts about this on your blog (since then I have been surprised by how much you are still helping here at the forums ;) ), and I agree with your decisions to do what is best for you and your health; and I hope that your health issues will improve, and that you will have many more healthy and happy years left on this Earth. :)

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I just started using the Plane theme, which is great, but a couple of people have asked me how to Like it. I see that on other WP blogs, but can’t seem to find that setting/widget on Plane. Anyone know?
