  • Hi,

Could you tell me where you got that information from?

In any case, I believe you will find the most up-to-date pricing on the following support page: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

Hi there, the domain you’ve mentioned orlanebaghana.com isn’t currently hosted here on WordPressdotcom.

As staff-frank mentioned, you can find all the current information about WordPressdotcom upgrade plans and what they include on the pricing page he linked to.

Let us know if you have any other questions about moving your site to WordPressdotcom.

Ok! Thank you and I understand now.

  • Hi there,

To add a bit more clarification, the $8.25 a month/billed yearly plan you mentioned is the WordPress.com Premium Plan. That plan is bought a year in advance at $99, and is used for a WordPress.com-hosted site.

The $9 a month plan is for Jetpack Premium. That plan can be bought for a self-hosted site connected here via Jetpack, like your site http://www.orlanebaghana.com/, can be paid monthly, and doesn’t include a domain like the WordPress.com plan.

    https://jetpack.com/pricing/#business

As you have both a wpcom site and a Jetpack site in your account the Plans page will show different plans depending on which site you have selected.

  • @kokkieh thank you very much for that clarification! I was wondering where @orlanebaghanayahoocom was getting that price difference from :-)

  • Always a pleasure, staff-frank :)

Hi—this thread is pretty helpful for a situation I’m working to resolve.
I’m working with an org who has already purchased a URL but still needs a host for the site. For clarification, a jetpack plan will allow for monthly billing and not yearly billing?

  • @costmeyer

Jetpack plans can be bought on a month-by-month basis, yes, but keep in mind that Jetpack can only be used on self-hosted WordPress sites, so you’ll still need a hosting account as well with a provider like Pressable or Bluehost. Most hosting provider also offer monthly payment options, though.
