  Well if you want plugins, there’s alway the WordPress.ORG option.

  If there is a specific function you’d like to see added, please make a thread for it. And please, don’t use caps ;)

  Quick Rick response. I don’t know how to code / host my own site so wordpress.org is a no. Caps are loud and I am frustrated. I want to add amazon affiliate links into my page but do not know how. Any advice, kindly?

  I can understand you can be frustrated by limitations, but they are there for a reason (stability and security, among other things). Giving the ability to install every plugin from the repository would certainly endanger that.

  For affiliate links, you can insert them without the use of plugins, but be sure to read this before : http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/

  If you want plugins and Amazon affiliate links, you definitely have to pay for independent hosting at about $120 a year.

  WordPress.com is an ultra-secure turnkey blogging system. That’s its special offer. If that is not what you want, you need a different web host. There are thousands.
