Hi! YouTube doesn’t give us an easy to generate this embed code. Here’s a link to post that has a turorial http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/start-youtube-video-minutes-seconds/
Or, try this code based on the link you gave:
<object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UIVERlucPC0?version=3&hl=en_US&start=110"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UIVERlucPC0?version=3&hl=en_US&start=110" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
I tested this code on my blog and it began playing at 1:50 as you reqested. Your best bet will be to paste this into the text editor, not the visual editor.
Basically, all I did was to add &start=110 to the embed code from YouTube, meaning I went to the video, clicked share then embed. This will not work using the WordPress.com oEmbed by just pasting in the URL.
Let me know how it turns out!

You can do that.
To make a Youtube video start from a specific point, you write the shortcode this way:
[youtube=URL HERE&start=NUMBER HERE]
(Number = how many seconds from beginning of video.)

Thanks timethief! Is there a way that we can suggest to staff that they add the information regarding start times in the shortcode to that support article?

@jjonesftw : thks!, copy & pasted it -on firefox 14 -cant see though :-(
(-watch (nothing!) at http://biopilz.wordpress.com/2012/02/24/wir-sind-alle-griechen/ -directly after: “u. klartext: koppelins volkswirtschaftlicher offenbarungseid (17.07.12):” -object will be deleted in source-code completely! )-maybe its my problem: my scheme is Neutra from Artmov )@timethief:
* [ y o u t u b e…watch?v=UIVERlucPC0&start=110]
does show start-time 0:00 on first loading page, but if you click on specific video it !!! REALLY STARTS AT 110 REALLY !!!
* and thnks for threading it inlets see…

You seem to be adding spaces into the youtube shortcode that do not belong there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/#embedding-with-a-shortcode
[youtube=URL HERE&start=NUMBER HERE]
-
i know to avoid showing A VIDEO H E R E ! ! -i try: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIVERlucPC0&start=110]
(for [ y o u t u b e…watch?v=UIVERlucPC0&start=110]) -
ok shows NO video here
so i could have written [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIVERlucPC0&start=110] instead of [ y o u t u b e…watch?v=UIVERlucPC0&start=110]
