  I have a blog and I want to buy a domain via wordpress.
  When I buy a domain do I need to have premium plan or some kind of upgrade to connect my blog to the site.

  If you register a custom domain name here – you will also need to map the domain name ( $ 5.- / year – registration, $ 13.- / year – domain mapping ) that is all that is required
