Please can someone contact me on the phone. URGENT

    Hi,

    I am not that techy. My patrner and I run a small business and had omeone set up the website for us. I have bought a new.co.uk site today and thought i was doing the right thing by changeing our current site .net to the .co.uk through wordpress directly however it now wont allow me to log in and i am petrified that I have deleted the website.

    I have tried looking on the forums but I do not really understand any of the jargon. please can someone give me a telephone number to speak directly to wordpress as i really, really need some help!

    Hi, thank you for responding.

    However, since this error message has started coming up – asking that I upgrade in order to change domain, I can no longer log in? I have tried everything – resetting the password etc but am unable. I am just trying to recover the password now. But it is hard to find proof of ownership as the whole site was built and set up for us.

    so stressed out.

    Can you confirm the previous domain and the one you purchased today? If you let me know, I’ll take a look at your site.

    Thanks for the links. I’ll run though what I’ve found:

    The domain absoluteaerialsandsatellites.co.uk was registered through GoDaddy and is being used for a self hosted WordPress.org site. This is the free software available through WordPress.org, which is separate from WordPress.com.

    There is some information about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org in this guide:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

    Visiting absoluteaerialsandsatellites.co.uk redirects me to a different site. The domain isn’t registered through us so we have no control over it. You will need to contact GoDaddy for help with switching domains on your site.

    I have tried resetting my passwords but its not working and because the site wass set up by the web designer I am struggling with proof of ownership.

    We are only able to help with access to sites hosted on WordPress.com. If you are unable to reset the password or log in, it’s best to speak to your hosting provider (GoDaddy). They should be able to give you more information about the next steps for accessing the site again.

    Why is it so hard to get Support! why can’t i just call? listen, i purchased the theme Wp Bakery forever ago. now all of a sudden the visual composer doesn’t work. says i need to buy it when i know it came with my purchase of the theme! if you are going to take people’s money you better have a way for them to reach customer service directly. I am reporting you to better business and the consumer protection agency as well as Envato. this should not be legal and it is definitely not right.
