Please can someone help domain unmapping
-
Hi,
I know this is a common question but I’m getting in a right pickle with it. Basically, my cowheartgirl.com domain (bought via 1&1) is connected to my wordpress.com site.
I would like to break this connection somehow, so that I can use the cowheartgirl.com address on my new WordPress.org site that I have built using 1&1 click and build. They say my cowheartgirl.com address is pointing to my new site, but when I put the address in my browser it’s still going back to my wordpress.com site.
I have already cleared cache and cookies, are any staff able to help me work out what I have to do on my wordpress.com site to break the connection with the domain so it will go to the right place?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When you made DNS changes to redirect a URL to a different IP address, it can take up to a few days for your local DNS server to get the new address if it has a cached record (the previous record would have told your local DNS server how long to wait to check again, regardless of clearing your browser cache and cookies, and the DNS server you’re using may not check again for up to 3 days).
I just checked your TTLs (Time to Live http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_to_live ) and they are set to 48 hours, so you might have to wait awhile. Meanwhile, you can try from a computer at a different location where there is DNS server that may not have a cached record of your site’s address so that it can get the new address without waiting.
