I only just signed in. Please can you cancel/delete everything so I can start again from scratch?

Hello, thank you, I wanted to start again but realised I couldn’t – it says my e-mail address is already taken.
I had tried several possible blog names, all of which are already taken, at least as the free version, so I thought I’d pay and have making-ripples.net (wordpress one being already gone of course). It says when you sign in that you can change it later, and I also noticed that with the ‘.net’ blog adress, I could have the hyphen instead of having to have two words running into one, so I thought I’d have a look round first then go back and pay the $18. I then realised after searching the support pages that you can’t change it, and that you have to ask support to delete it for you. I was trying to set up the blog in a hurry because I have something specific to say, which a journalist has offered to tweet, so I expected a lot of people might see it. I thought that making-ripples.net would be a good address. This became unavailable but I suspect that was because of my going back and forth.The perfect solution for me would be to delete my last-night’s efforts completely, please, then let me register from scratch and post the info I have prepared.

Just write your post and publish it. It says, “Nothing found” because you deleted the original placeholder “Hello world” post. Once you publish something the “Nothing found” will go away.Do not delete that blog: you will permanently lose that url. If you decide you don’t want it, set it to private and use it for testing themes, widgets, codes, and so on.

As for domain mapping, making-ripples.net is still available.
.com, .co, and .co.uk are claimed.
makingripples.net is also available.Do you mean you paid for a domain mapping upgrade and now want to change the name you bought?

Thanks for your reply, I haven’t paid for anything yet. I was thinking I would just be able to pay and change, but found I couldn’t. Is it impossible to just undo what I have done? As I was signing up it appeared as though I’d be able to easily change my address after looking around the site. I could have puchased it when first signing in but I wanted to look around the site first, annnd when I went back I couldn’t because my e-mail address already existed on the site. I will follow the link you gave above.

If you go with the domain upgrade, you would use your wp.com site but your readers will see the link as http://making-ripples.net
It’s still your wp.com site, still hosted here and you’ll log in with the same password and link. The mapping is like a sign on the street pointing readers to your making ripples house. Or think of it as wearing a nametag: your legal name might be Elizabeth, but you write “Liz” on the nametag—you are still the same person with a different name.
