Please Change the Smiley Code
-
Hello,
I run a semi-academic blog on China’s Energy, Environment, and Economy; http://chinacomment.wordpress.com and I often cite sources by year. For example, I may cite an academic journal as (Academic Journal, 2007). However, the smiley code for 8) makes it impossible for me to cite (Academic Journal, 2008) without the citation looking ridiculous.
Instead of “2008”, I end up with “200SMILEYFACE”
Could you please change the code for the smiley face, or create some way to turn off the smiley features.
Thank you.

You can turn off the smiley feature. Go to settings > writing and deselect “Convert emoticons like :-) and :-P to graphics on display” and then click “save changes.”

Thank you, thesacredpath. Smile should be displayed after the absolute end of the final word. It should be replaced the last letter of such word.
