Hi there,
I have removed that site from your account. But having a disconnected Jetpack site in your account should not prevent you from using our mobile app or connecting a different site to Jetpack.
The reason you cannot select a new Primary site in your WordPress.com account, is because there are no other sites connected to this account. What is the URL of the site you’re trying to set as primary?

I think I am getting close, I manage to login to mobile IOS app now.
I moved my web site configbytes.com from another hosting provider back in March. I now have that site online with my new provider.
The site rdsncs.com was mine, but is no longer. For some strange reason JetPack assumes that I am still login to that. You fix this. Thanks.
Now when I use the Mobile IOS app, I still get the message “Please log out before connecting to a different wordpress.com site.”. I have no idea what exactly am I suppose to log out of or what site they are talking about. I only have the configbytes.com . The message is vague at best. Not helpful.
In summary, I can not use the IOS mobile app, this issue has got me halted.
My login is rstaples, (email visible only to moderators and staff). trying to add configbytes.com as a self hosted site. – I would love to able to use the mobile app again (I really like)
Please assist and advise. Thank you for the quick responses.

Thanks for fixing the issue with JetPack
However I am still having an issue with the Mobile app. It keeps giving me the following error message when I try to add my self hosted site http://www.configbytes.com
” Please log out before connecting to a different wordpress.com site.”.
I have no idea what this is referring to, the error message is vague at best. At this time, this has me halted from using the IOS app to mange my site.
I’ve using wordpress since 2008, the app for several years (since it came out) not sure what the issue could be at this time.
Please assist and advise .

I still have the issue with the mobile IOS application. When I try to setup and self hosted site, it keeps telling me “Please log out before connecting to a different wordpress.com site” I. d.o.n.t understand this message, it does say what to log out of?
At this time, I can not use wordpress IOS application. Plus the confusing part is that it says I am in a wordpress.com site, I. d.o.n.t have any that I know of. They are self hosted.
Please assist and advise

Hi Ron, sorry, I’m not sure why those responses were flagged as spam.
When you start the app, what do you see?
Alternatively, can you try clearing all data for the app?
-
I have removed the app, deleted all data – (that I know of) and still get the same message. When I start the app, it asks me for a login. I use my wordpress login.
I can read followed sites, just cant add one of my own sites with out getting that “Please log out before connecting to a wordpress.com site.”.
This worked fine when I was using it with my previous hosting provider.
Do I need to setup a similar account on my web site? One with the same credit i also as my wordpress.com ? /confused.

Hi there,
This is a known issue that has been reported internally and is currently being worked on via this open Github issue:
https://github.com/wordpress-mobile/WordPress-iOS/issues/11526
You can keep track on our progress via the Github report, but there is nothing you are doing wrong – it does indeed appear to be a bug. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
