Please check your Primary Site's Jetpack connection
-
I am unable to access my site because all I get is the error message:
“Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection”.
I haven’t used the blog in a few years and just thought to dust it off to consider transferring it to my son, but with this error message, it’s unusable and I can’t get to any admin options that would allow me to disable Jetpack to fix this problem.
When I ran the Jetpack debugger tool, I get this message:
XML-RPC is not responding correctly ( 500 )
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The website you’ve posted is using the open-source WordPress.org and is hosted with Bluehost, and this forum is for the hosted WordPress.com platform. They’re very similar, but two separate things.
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
I would suggest trying to log in at http://www.discoveringourway.com/wp-admin and see if you can gain access that way. If yes, you can then work to troubleshoot the Jetpack connection which will allow you access via https://wordpress.com/
If you can’t get in via the wp-admin link, you’ll likely need to reset your password. There are a number of ways to accomplish this.

If after you’ve done that and you still have questions, I would suggest contacting Bluehost or posting your question in the WordPress.org forums.

Hi there,
Disabling Jetpack won’t fix anything. That will just disconnect the site from your WordPress.com account, so it’s not listed on our end at all any more.
If you want to disconnect Jetpack, let me know and I can do that manually for you.
But to regain access to WP-Admin you’ll need to contact Bluehost support. And if you still want to use Jetpack you also need to contact them – XML-RPC is the service Jetpack uses to communicate with your server, and if that service is not working, the problem is on your server, so that’s also something only Bluehost support can help with :)
