Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection Error
-
Hi! I am trying to write a post on my blog and it keeps giving me an error – Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection – I’ve tried disconnecting this myself but cannot figure out how to do it.
I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account
-
Please try disconnecting Jetpack from WordPress.com at Jetpack > Dashboard > Site Connection > Manage Site Connection in your site’s Dashboard, then connect again when prompted.
-
I can’t even get to my dashboard to do so. It just give me that error message and then takes me to my actual website.
-
You’ll access your Dashboard by logging in at https://taylordavisphotography.com/wp-login.php

Yes, I know how I normally access my dashboard. But when I click that link/type it in manually it literally reroutes me to my website.

Ah, ok, that could be part of the problem with Jetpack too then, but access to your Dashboard will be necessary to dig into this.
Unfortunately, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with GoDaddy, so we cannot directly assist with that part.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Your hosting provider’s support team may also be able to assist.

I just talked with GoDaddy and they disconnected the Jetpack Plugin but said the scope of this problem was beyond their wheelhouse and that I’d need to pay someone in the Plugin support to fix this. Is this normal?
I’m just trying to get into the Dashboard so I can fix this. I cannot find any contact info for Jetpack. I’m just at a loss for who to contact. I just sent a message to showit as well because my wordpress is powered by showit.
