please check your primary site's jetpack connection wp-admin

    Hi!

    I hadn’t checked my WordPress account in a while, and now it says, “please check your primary site’s jetpack connection wp-admin” every time I go to ‘My Site’.

    I also can’t access WordPress’s contact form. It’s just loading.

    And when I go to ‘Manage Purchases’ it says, “You don’t have any WordPress sites yet. Would you like to start one?”

    But I had a primary WordPress site. I dunno why it’s saying that. Here’s my website: https://wordsmithjuls.com/

    Thanks for the response. I actually can’t use WordPress’s Contact page (https://wordpress.com/help/contact). It’s just all white. Like, it says it’s loading but it’s not. So I can’t send anyone my questions.

    Do you want me to send pictures? I’m not sure how to do it here, but if pictures help, I’ll gladly send them.

    The bottom line is, I can’t use the contact page so I’m hoping someone here can answer. Or if someone can send me an email that would cool, too.

  • Hmm… you should see the following options on that page:

    So it sounds like something is definitely at issue. When I check on my end it loads correctly. Can you visit this page and let us know what you see for “Operating System” and “Web Browser”?

    This will give us some extra troubleshooting info about your computer. Also what if you try using a different browser? For example if you can’t load https://wordpress.com/help/contact when logged in on Firefox, what if you try on Google Chrome instead?

    Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit)
    Web Browser: Chrome 86.0.4240.75

    HEY, I JUST TRIED FIREFOX AND IT WORKS!!! (Sorry, didn’t mean to shout.)

    But yeah, so with Firefox, I can see everything. With Chrome:
    -I can’t check ‘My Site’. There’s a pop-up that says, “please check your primary site’s jetpack connection wp-admin”
    -When I click my account, there’s a pop-up that says, “We couldn’t load our Concierge schedule. Please try again later.”
    -When I click ‘Manage Purchases’ it says, “You don’t have any WordPress sites yet.” <- This means it’s not accessing my account correctly, right? Because I can see my purchases using Firefox.
    -And of course, the WordPress’ Contact form/page/site. I can’t access it. I just see a blank loading page.

    Wow. So I think it’s safe to assume that there’s nothing wrong with my WordPress account. It’s really Google Chrome. Is there a way to solve this? Because I’d like to continue using Chrome.

  • You can try to delete all cookies, which should resolve the issue.
    You can follow Google’s steps for doing that here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050

    If this does not work, please try:

    1. Log out of your WordPress.com account
    2. Delete cookies in Chrome again
    3. Log back in to your WordPress.com account

    Usually deleting cookies is sufficient (logging out first can help) and this is reported to work well with other site owners we have helped.
