Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection – WP Admin

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello!

Whenever I try to click on ‘my site’ I get a notification saying ‘Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection – WP Admin’. When I click on the WP Admin link it takes me to an error page.

I have tried to follow the instructions outlined in other forms about disconnecting Jetpack but I am not able to access Jetpack because I am not able to access the ‘my site’ page.

I haven’t logged onto my WP account in quite a few months.

I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

  • Hi there,

It sounds like you are needing help with the Jetpack plugin, but have landed on the support forum for WordPress.com sites instead. Can you please report this issue to Jetpack support by asking here? Thanks!

  • Hi there,

You use Jetpack to connect your site to your WordPress.com account, but your site itself is hosted somewhere else. Based on public Whois information for your domain, your name servers are set to Siteground.com. Does that sound familiar?

That means Siteground is currently hosting your domain’s DNS, but the DNS itself isn’t resolving, which points to a problem on Siteground’s end. If you contact their support they should be able to help you sort this out :)
