I’m not asking for help with a 3rd party application. I just want to know if WordPress is blocking a 3rd party app from displaying.
Here’s the info I got from Wodify, when I asked them if they could diagnose the problem:Thanks for sending this along! After doing some research it looks like this can happen for two reasons:
a plugin on your WordPress site may be blocking posts from a 3rd party site
OR your WordPress site may not be able to accept posts from a 3rd party site
I would recommend taking a look at some of WordPress’ support forums to see if you can determine which of the two is more likely. On the Wodify end it looks like everything is set up correctly to be able to post. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

All support docs are at http://support.wordpress.com
Type help getting support into the searchbox and click
https://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=help+getting+support
Results https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/
Note also https://en.support.wordpress.com/live-chat/There is no phone support. In addition to support options linked to above we can all email
help@wordpress.com
or
support@wordpress.com -
The support docs don’t address this issue. Neither does the searchbox.
I’m not optimistic about contacting help@wordpress.com, either.Three-hundred dollars a year for live chat?! That’s absurd.
I’d just like someone to tell me why the 3rd party app I’d like to connect to WordPress (Wodify) isn’t allowed. I don’t think it’s an unreasonable request.
Is it? -

You can use the modlook tag. Read here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-questionHow do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question?
Some issues require staff member help. If you see or add a thread that you know needs staff intervention, you can add the modlook tag to the tags area of the thread to make sure we see it.

I don’t think that using the support options available to you is unreasonable. I tagged this thread for a Staff response.

It sounds like they are set up to publish to self-hosted WordPress.org sites and not WordPress.com sites. While similar, .com and .org sites operate differently.
You might ask the Wodify support team if they are specifically set up for WordPress.com. Because if they are not, then their instructions are unlikely to work here.

I’ve seen other gyms use Wodify to push content to WordPress.com, without issue. Could it be my location? I’m in Central America.

This CrossFit gym in Cleveland uses wordpress:

That is a Wix site, not a wordpress.COM hosted blog. WordPress.ORG provides free software installs and it is used by many people and many sites including Wix.
crookedrivercrossfit.com is hosted by Google not by wordpress.COM

Well, now I’m completely confused.
Is there a way to send you a screenshot of the Wodify page showing how to set up a direct connection to WordPress.com?
(I greatly appreciate your help, by the way!)

You can use http://snag.gy/ to share screenshots and link to them here. If you use the WordPress.com guide for screenshots you can and upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it.

Did that work?

If you feel that using Wodify is essential to your blogging the answer is yes. You will need to hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting, set up a wordpress.org install, and import your content into it.

Timethief is giving you accurate info. You will need a WordPress.org site to use Wodify.
