Please Define 'visitor'

    Hi there, I am operating a private blog and noticed that there has been an increase in visitor numbers. Does WP regard each of our devices as a unique ‘visitor’ – I am now using three devices, the other contributor is using two.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    A visit is counted if a particular browser loads your site. All subsequent pages viewed in that browser session are counted as views. But if you close the page in your browser and then later re-open it and load the page again, that is a new visit. So it is not tied to your devices or your network.
