  Hi there. It’s not possible to delete a WordPress.com account. This is to prevent someone from claiming your username and impersonating you. However, you can remove all personal information and effectively deactivate your account by following these steps.

  The only information you were required to provide when signing up were an email address and username. All other information you can remove from your profile settings at the following link: https://wordpress.com/me. If you still have any blogs in your account you can delete them by using the link at the bottom of the My Sites page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  If you’re sure you never want to use the account again, you can create a temporary email address with Gmail or Yahoo and change the email in your account settings to that email.
  You can set your Gravatar profile to Hidden so no one will be able to see it. http://en.gravatar.com/support/profile-privacy/

  Lastly, change your account password to something completely random, and delete the temporary email address you’d created. That way no one will ever be able to access your account again. You can see here for more information: https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/
