    Our organization requires account and password security that does not allow this account to simply sit unused. Please delete the account ((email visible only to moderators and staff))

    OMG. Please, please.. I just want actual customer support. Can you please delete this post (which I really wish I could do myself) and contact me to help me directly to assist with my problem. Thank you :)

    I really think you should at least allow soft deletes. I can add the two-step authentication but that doesn’t take away my new responsibility to review and update this barren account on a regular basis. Annoying….

    the current system lets you do just that – then if you change you mind in 6 months you can get your ID back active – many people delete blogs then change their mind in a few months and want the old blog name back (sorry too late – which is why regular helpers in the forum never recommend that a blog be deleted but just emptied or set to Private –

    If security is a main concern of your organization, then I recommend two-step authentication as this prevents anyone from illegally accessing your account. Once it is activated, there is almost no need to go back to it on a regular basis unless you plan on using the account again.
