please disable carousel

Please disable carousel.
The usual interface is so much faster.
Or at least add the description + comments to carousel. This is really annoying.

I’m sorry but there is no way to disable the carousel at this point in time. Clicking “Permalink” in the Carousel view takes you to wherever the thumbnail used to (either the full image file or attachment page with comments).

Or at least add the description + comments to carousel.
The Caption box is for the text that appears directly beneath the image in the carousel.
The Description box is for the text that appears in the Permalink. -

Captions should be short, not full descriptions.
FWIW Staff have advised that this is the first iteration of the Carousel feature, so we’ll all have to wait and see what’s coming at us next.

So in my galleries I have photos with titles and descriptions, and before the carousel addition the description was visible to the left of the 3-column gallery. There was a larger thumbnail with the image selected and smaller thumbs to move forward and backward, it was a great way to navigate and inform. Now with carousel the titles and descriptions are not visible when an image is clicked, and “permalink” does not show the description text. When permalink is clicked it just shows a full screen of the image. So how does one see the descriptions?
And what does permalink mean? There is no common sense for a viewer to click on it.
Cheers

Description – Text displayed with the image in your dashboard (Media Library) and attachment pages on your blog. http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/
-
Caption – Image caption displayed directly underneath the image (will also serve as the alternate text.) http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/

Whilst the carousel as a viewer works well and is a nice addition, it is incredibly inconvenient for me. I have number titled images that clients order from, however if they click on an image the carousel shows a completely different number. I have to include a whole description now for each gallery describing how to find the correct number. VERY inconvenient for both me AND my clients.
Please find a way for the carousel viewer to show the image title rather than a completely different number!
Thank you
