  please empty all content from my “cadbloke.wordpress.com” blog so I can re-import it from my self-hosted site to prepare to migrate it here.

  It seems odd that I have to post this request in a PUBLIC forum, no?

  I have emptied all the content from your blog as per your request. You can try the import again under Tools > Import.

  Thanks. Would I have been better-off just moving everything to trash & emptying the trash? That seems like a good way to clutter a database though.

  Ewen, either way is fine for us. Moving everything to trash and emptying the trash works too, and this way you can do it yourself without waiting for a Happiness Engineer to respond.
