Just go to Tools -> Delete Blog and then select the option that says “Empty my blog of all content” on the dropdown list.

Or here’s a better idea – why don’t you try your suggestion before suggesting it to see if it actually works?

I don’t want to delete my blog, I want to empty it. But when you click that option for ’empty’, you get a link that says ” please contact support, and one of our Happiness Engineers will be glad to lend a hand”. I don’t know if they’re trying to be funny or what, but maybe they should stop trying to be funny and instead spend some time designing a product that works as it should.
Another complaint: I can’t delete my old comments, because they are associated with a post I deleted which no longer exists.
Another complaint: the importer works 25% of the time, and usually imports blank posts from blogger. If it doesn’t work, I have to go back and manually send each post to the trash can, and then manually delete each post permanently from the trash can.
What an a$$hole site.

I’m not a Happiness Engineer, so I can’t help you in the same way a member of the WordPress Support team could. You can try using the bulk edit features on post -> posts, pages -> pages, posts -> categories and posts -> tags.
- In order to make the work a little bit more easier, go to the “screen options” tab and increase the number of entries to 75.
- Click the check box in the upper left hand corner of the list to select all.
- Now select “delete” from the bulk actions pulldown and then click the “apply” button.
I guess that’s all I can do for you.

You can bulk delete all content for your blog and retain the URL and start again.If you don’t have a lot of content and don’t wish to wait for Staff to delete it for you then you can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk.

That will remove all data including posts, pages, tags, categories, comments, and uploaded files and once deleted, the data cannot be recovered. If you are sure you want Staff to proceed, please reply to confirm the URL of the blog you want them to empty.

If this issue still exists after follow the steps for bulk deletion of content I posted above, please posts again.

If you post a support thread like this one and notify us that you have an import issue then Staff can assist you. I tagged this thread for their assistance.

Thank you both for your assistance. I guess I’ll just have to keep trying the importer until it works. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. It appears a number of people on the net are having this problem as well.
I’ve deleted everything manually, piece by piece. However, I can’t seem to delete old comments. The drop down menu does not even appear.
