Please explain; I’m totally lost

    Some months ago friend of mine showed me wordpress, I like it and subscribed and even posted a few threads. Almost zero response and not much more viewing.

    I’ve tried help beck than but had no clue what the advise is.

    Now I tried to follow instructions provided. This same, no idea what and where and why should I do.

    I even have not much idea about how in general wordpress work. Do all posts have same status? Are they published and listed on major search engines?

    I cannot believe that so fiew people view the posts I’ve published.

    This attempt to get help is that I wish to publish results of my research on road safety but need to know fair bit more about this site. I did set up myself forums and blogs, but here I am totally lost. Can I learn how to manage my posts?

    If you self-host, then you need to ask on the WordPress.org forum. Our free blogs here at WordPress.COM runs under a different software. http://wordpress.org/support/

    Can we have the link to your .COM blog starting with http://.

    You can get instant traffic from a non-adult blog by setting up categories which will then automatically be sent to the WordPress.com global tag page where others can view other similar topics. Try to not have mopre than 12 categories because people are kicked off the global tag page for too many categories because it’s looked at as spamming.

    You can also set your username showing on this forum & wherever you comment on WordPress.com by editing your profile in the dashboard and placing the url link to your blog there. Starting with http://.

    Many sites can take a few weeks to be indexed on search engines. You can also submit the url link directly to them:

    http://www.google.com/addurl/

    http://searchmarketing.yahoo.com/srchsb/ssb.php

    Updating your blog with content will better get your blog indexed because it alerts the search engines of new content.

    Comment on similar blogs, websites, and forums having your username linking back to your blog.
