Please explain the Music Player Widget.

You have a ‘music player’ widget in the Suburbia theme. I’ve had it a few years, and didn’t notice it until today. HOWEVER – when I tried to set it up, it won’t take an MP3 file; what does it want? There aren’t any references; all it says is to add a playlist. From what software? That would help.
