please fix the bugs in the block editor (which I, by the way, hate)

I use a custom color for my links. Just recently the interface in the block editor changed, and I am unable to specify a color by hex number. When I get the box for typing the hex number, it closes after I type the first character. I don’t want to pick any of the defined colors, and I don’t get my exact color by using the simplified (for boneheads) color chooser. I want to type my hex number. The block editor is really buggy anyway, for example, sometimes it is really hard to keep a section of text selected when I am inserting a link (it lets go part of the selection, and I have to do it over and over again) but just to set this color, I have to switch to the classic editor and then switch back again. I used to be able to go into the code to change the hex number, but you have messed that up now, too, using a different coding technique to specify color. It’s like you are actively working against your older customers and think we are all idiots. You make things ‘easy’ and then remove functionality that we’re actually using.

Thanks for reaching out! What you’re describing is a known bug that our development team is working on finding and fixing at the moment. It wasn’t done intentionally.

We’ll update you here once we have that fixed.
