Please fix the problem with the color editor

I complained about this months ago and was just told it was a known problem. Well, fix it! I am no longer able to specify a hex number for my custom link color in the color editor. I have to insert an approximate color and then to into the HTML and change the hex number. When I complained about this my problem was fixed temporarily, but now it doesn’t work anymore.

I have pages of nested bullets that appear to be all screwed up in the new editor. However, when they are published, they look okay. This creates a big problem, though, with my being able to find things when I am working in these pages and in one case I was unable to make a new entry nest correctly and ended up with two bullets on each subentry. I have spent two hours today struggling with problems that came up just since last week. Oddly the pages I left in the classic editor, which works much better, are just fine.

  • Hi, I merged your two recent threads; sorry I didn’t realize they were actually different topics.

The color picker was updated some time ago. Can you confirm if you’re still having that problem? I’m not able to duplicate the issue you mentioned.

that appear to be all screwed up in the new editor

Can you elaborate on that, or perhaps get a screenshot and upload it here?

Then update us here, along with a link to the affected post. Thanks!

Yes, I am still having that problem or I wouldn’t have posted another request. I can use the slider to pick a color, or I can select one of the already defined colors, but when I click on the box that opens up the hex screen and try to type into that field, I cannot, and my color turns to black. It’s the same behavior I had before that was briefly fixed but has been broken again

The only way I can put my hex number in, is to slide or select a different color, and then go into the code page and edit the hex number in the HTML, which is a pain in the butt.

I don’t have any pages affected by it, because I always fix them.

And here is the indention problem on the pages of The Classics Club blog. I put a screenshot at https://wordpress.com/media/blog-indent-problem.png. In this example, some of the bullets are supposed to be at the next indention level from the others. The authors’ names are indented at one level and the book titles at the next. Although they appear okay on the actual website, in the editor, they are all at the same level and very difficult to work with. This just appeared in the last week

  • Hi,

I checked on your color picker issue and notified our developers. We’ll update you once we hear back from them.
