Please fix the unmark spam bug

I’ve found literally dozens of people with the same problem: people who clicked the “spam” tag in the “View Stats” page and only afterwards found out that that meant the referrers we clicked will never show up in our View Stats page again, and WordPress offers no way to undo it, and does not intend to fix this bug.

We already know (because WordPress posts this in every “response” to said problem) that leaving a website marked as spam does not prevent it from referring to our website, etc., etc. But the thing is: we want to be able to undo it. There is no “Are you sure you want to do it??” confirmation window, there is no previous explanation of what it does, and it makes absolutely no sense that it can’t be reverted.

Myself, as well as dozens of other blogger owners who have posted this very same complaint over the past years, won’t accept that WordPress refuses to acknowledge the issue and fix it.

Please, WordPress.com, make up a way we can un-tag a site as spam, or clean up our “spam-list” entirely. It is possible to do so, and we definitely want it done.

It is of utmost importance to me to have some sites I marked as spam “de-marked”, and I will just have to let go of my website if WordPress insist in not acknowledging the need to fix such bug.

When we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. I did that for you.

How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. • The short answer is that there is no user facing way to unmark a referrer as spam.

But staff can fix this for anyone who needs it done.
