    trilliarania THIS IS THE SECOND PAGE I HAVE POSTED WHERE IT WILL NOT SHOW THE FACEBOOK SHARES. OFTEN THERE CAN BE OVER 200 FACEBOOK SHARES SO WHEN NONE SHOW UP IT IS VERY UPSETTING AS IT SEEMS NO ONE IS INTERESTED IN A NEW PAGE.
    trilliarania I HAVE CHECKED UNDER EDITING THE PAGE ADVANCED SETTINGS AND EVERYTHING IS CORRECTLY TICKED BUT IT STILL DOES NOT SHOW THE NUMBER OF SHARES. TO MY PRESENT KNOWLEDGE IT HAS ALREADY BEEN SHARED OVER 12 TIMES AND YET SAYS NIL

    Brooke Hi Pauline, we only count Facebook shares of the URL. shares within Facebook do not count.
    Brooke The data we use is coming directly from Facebook.
    trilliarania I do not understand though why previous posts have been shared many times, as I said, and it shows the numbers shared, and now nothing shows up as I have not changed the settings. As I said it has been shared as usual

    trilliarania But the problem is that why is it showing zero shares now and not previously. It has been the last couple of Pages or so

    Brooke So that same post had likes and shares showing on WordPress.com previously?
    trilliarania No this was only posted today. However, other similar pages have had 200 or so SHARES – if it had been only about 6 or 7 I would say that a particular post is not popular but we are puzzled as to why the shares showing up are now completely non existent even when we KNOW they have been shared
    trilliarania It seems totally unrealistic
    Brooke Can you give me an example of a page with a few hundred shares?
    trilliarania NOTE If it is the last couple of posts, for instance the Page on LADY MIRIAM also showed no shares, or maybe one share, something must have gone wrong

    I can see this post has 288 Facebook shares. How many shares do you see there?
