  how do I switch my blog to a website? I don’t want a blog!

  Hi there,

  Not to worry! All of our sites start off in the same way, and it just takes a bit of customizing in order to change the appearance of your site from looking more like a blog to looking like a website.

  You’ll want to make sure that if there are any posts made that you either set them to draft or delete them in your Dashboard under Posts >> All Posts.

  Under Pages, create a page which you would like to have be your home page. You don’t have to create anything yet on that page, just set one up and save it. Then follow these instructions: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

  This will allow your site to have a home page rather than a rolling list of posts.

  And there you have it! A website, where you can add pages, custom menus, etc.
