Please help!

  I just tried to complete the domain mapping….my blog is http://rawkinmom.wordpres.com/ and I have a domain http://www.colorwheelmeals.com. I went to my domain registrar and changed the name servers to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, NS2.WORDPRESS.COM, and NS3.WORDPRESS.COM…….then I came back and paid the $12 to have the domain mapping done. I went to the domain option and clicked to switch the main one to be colorwheelmeals.com and now I cannot get to my blog online with either address!! Please help…what did I do wrong???

  Hi. This is perfectly normal. As a matter of fact, I can see your blog at the new address from where I am (Eastern Canada).

  Wait a couple of hours and you should see it on your end as well. It can take as much as 72 hours for the changes to reflect everywhere in the world.

  Now, two suggestions:
  1- set up colorwheelmeals.com as your primary domain, so that every rawkinmom.wordpress.com address gets automatically replaced by the equivalent colorwheelmeals.com address
  2- use a more obvious title for your topic next time :-)

  Thank you! I am sure I overreacted but I really have no idea what I am doing with this!! I totally freaked out when I typed in both web addresses and nothing came up…which is still happening to me…I thought my blog and all of my posts were lost in cyberspace!! I switched my main domain to colorwheelmeals.com so I will wait and try waiting patiently…and sorry about the freak out panic title :)

  THANK YOU!! So, its just a matter of me not being able to see it yet…when I type in either address it takes me to an expired page site…its reassuring to know that someone can see it…thank you for letting me know!!

  You be welcome

  Because of caching issues you will probably be the last one to see your new address. That is the way it has worked for me. Your ISP and other routers will cache information and it takes a while for things to get updated.
