PLEASE HELP…
-
I’m very new at this…3 days old. I found a great article on someone’s blog about blogging and wanting to save it and share it added it to my blog with links. However when I copied and pasted it, his WHOLE page came.. blog roll, calendar, everything. Please tell me how to delete this page, as the delete button is not doing it. I also would need to know if it is okay to copy an interesting article as long as you give the credit and link with it. Any help would be really appreciated.

As far as deleting the page, try opening the page for edit, doing a select all (ctrl-a windows or cmd-a mac) and then hit delete. The save the page and go to manage > pages and delete it.
Typically what you would want to do is take a short excerpt of maybe a paragraph or two and then perhaps add some of your comments on the article and then provide a link to the original post on the other blog so that your readers could read it. Posting the entire article, even with a link, can make some bloggers a little mad and could get you reported for copyright infringement, even if you did give a link. We all fight copyright infringement on almost a daily basis so I would be careful.

I would make sure and put the excerpt in a blockquote to set it off and let everyone know you are quoting someone.

You can see how I handled a quote from an online source here: http://the-sacred-path.com/2007/11/26/universe-navel-gazing/

Actually it appears as if that went into a post and not a page, so open the post, select all, hit delete and then save the post. Then you should be able to delete it.
