Please Help

  I’m trying to connect my blog and move everything over to the domain I just purchased at GoDaddy. The blog I want to move over is aliciastwocents.wordpress.com. And the domain I purchased is feministcookbook.com. I also purchased the WordPress hosting plan from GoDaddy yesterday. I tried to migrate the blog manually because the auto wasn’t working, but that isn’t working either. Now I have 3 different sites I’m looking at somehow – aliciastwocents.wordpress.com, feministcookbook.godaddysites.com (which won’t let me publish), and then the WordPress site I just made on my new domain somehow, that gave me a really weird URL and then when I tried to connect it to my domain it wouldn’t work. What is going on? Please help me.

  Hi there:

  The only thing we can help with is the export of your WordPress.com site. Have you followed the steps here to export your site?

  The rest of this process will be happening on GoDaddy’s side of things so you would need to contact them directly if you’re having trouble importing that file into your new WordPress site. Also it sounds like the feministcookbook.godaddysites.com URL might just be a temporary URL for your site, so you should ask them about that as well.
