Please help a desperate woman

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully you can help. :)
As I am new to WordPress, I was very excited when my first blog had the ticking of the stats which allowed me to view where people were from and see who were reading my posts as well as seeing how many people were reading. It got addictive very quickly.
Sadly, my new blog does not have an stats attached to it. I have tried online to get advice and search but everything is in googleygook, or what other people might call computer speak, and I have no idea what they say let alone mean.
Please help me – I would like the stats function added to my page but currently I am at a loss. I have tried for three nights to get it to work but I can’t :( If someone could explain to me in simple sentences how to get this onto my blog I would be very grateful.
My theme is BUENO and there is no footer or at least not that I can see.
Please help – I am a desperate woman!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, if your site is on WordPress.com, as seen from your link, your stats must be available when you log into administration page.
When you are logged in go to Dasboard / Site stats. Everything should be there.

Thanks for the posts. Sadly I can see the stats tab but when I push it, it comes up with either zero or one but I know there are a few more reading because I get emails telling me there are.
I read on some page you need to type into the footer <?php wp_footer(); ?> to get the stats working. Not sure how to do this as there does not seem to be a footer (or not one I can find).
I’ve tried trying that code into the body of where I put my blog, into the tags section but no success. Normally I’m not an idiot it is just this computer speak isn’t a language I speak. I guess I’ll keep refreshing my stats in the hope that by some magic they work. Unlikely, but I’m hopeful. :)
