WILL GIVE CHOCOLATE TO WHOEVER ANSWERS!

Need blog done for job interview this week.
    _______________________________________

“Real” me created an additional blog on account by “alias” me. Didn’t realize alias would show. Disastrous. But had to keep same URL, as I have already made it public.

“Real” me created new WP account using “real” me email address. (Had to create new a blog URL [not the URL of the one being transferred] to do so.)

“Alias” me transferred blog to “real” me, clicked OK link, etc.

In “Real” me blog, added “real” me UR: to “add sites to profile.” It’s there, but not live.

“Real” me blog does not show up under “Manage my Blogs.”

“Real” me blog does not show up under “My sites.”

Can SEE the “Real” me blog from add to profile, but it has no dashboard so cannot be customized or edited.

ALL the instructions I have read tell how to transfer a blog TO, but say nothing about how to ACCESS the blog once received.

** OMG. *** I just Google my “alias” blog and it shows my REAL identity. Is that only because I have my “real” accoutn open right now to be in the support area?? Two separate email addresses, different names, etc. This is a nightmare!!!!

    Original “ALIAS” blog: https://thebabyhumanist.wordpress.com/

Blog “REAL” me set up to get account: http://wordsimagesrapportideas.wordpress.com

Blog “REAL” me needs to finish for job interview!: http://socialmediasass.wordpress.com/

    Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have not a clue what you need done – but in the off chance you just can’t get logged into one of the blogs – the log-in’s are below

I will also flag this for the staff – maybe they can understand what you wrote

I appreciate the flagging, yes. Thank you, Auxclass.—–Logging in is not my problem. I don’t know how else to explain it — I tried to do so very carefully. Here is what happens with the logins: Logging into Baby Humanist, no problem. ==== Logging into WordsImagesRapportIdeas — no problem. === Logging into SocialMediaSass just takes me to WordsRapportIdeas, with the WordsRapportIdeas dashboard, posts, etc. From there, I do not know how to access the dashboard area of SocialMediaSass. I guess that is the bottom line. I’ve searched everywhere for an answer. All instructions focus on the “giving” part of the equation, not the “getting” part.

There is no way to actually get hold of tech support for a free site? This should really be an easy question to anyone who knows …. help…

All support docs are here http://support.wordpress.com These are our support options http://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/

This is a peer support forum where Staff and Volunteers work together cooperatively to provide WordPress.com support. Volunteers answer the majority of all support questions and when we cannot provide support we tag threads for Staff assistance.

There is no phone support, and emailing support Staff means it takes longer to get an answer than posting to the support forums does

Yeah, I do understand that — it’s how I wound up here.

Maybe the confusion is that both accounts are mine, only under different email addresses. I am going to re-word my question like this, and post it that way. It has to be VERY simple to answer. It is this:

    ____________________________________________________

Jane wants to transfer ownership of her blog to Frank.

Frank registers for his own WordPress account.

Jane transfers ownership to Frank’s email address, and clicks yes when she receives her verification email.

Frank goes in to his WP account. But how does he GET INTO the site he’s just been given ownership to? It does not show up in his “My Blogs” area. If he goes to Jane’s former blog, he can see it (like anyone can) but cannot access the dashboard.
    _______________________________________________________

It’s very simple. There must be a button I am not clicking or something. This is bad because my alias blog is on a sensitive topic, and yet it can be seen on my professional blog that I’ve just sent the URL out for (and I can’t change URLs).

It HAS to be something quite simple, but is not shown in the instructions.

    Hi teresabryanpeneguy,

The account you are writing from is the administrator of socialmediasass.wordpress.com.

To edit your site you have two options. The link below will take you to the “classic” dashboard for the site.

    https://socialmediasass.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php

You can also switch between your sites by going to https://wordpress.com/stats and then clicking “switch site” at the top of the left column.

This is bad because my alias blog is on a sensitive topic, and yet it can be seen on my professional blog that I’ve just sent the URL out for (and I can’t change URLs).

I’m not sure what you mean by this. I can see both of your sites but they are not connected to each other in any way.
