Please help? changed to my domain name / now site is quite strange

hi Guys and Girls.
I just installed my wordpress site on Godaddy under a folder:
root/fc/wordpress as opposed to root/wordpress
when I typed my domain name in the url bar:
http://www.foodclef.com I saw nothing. but when I typed in http://www.foodclef/fc I saw the template site.In my settings (when I logged in), I tried to change both sites (foodclef and worpress) to my domain name.
now it’s acting crazy, strange format, and I can’t log in!My site is down and I’m quite frustrated. If anyone can give me tips I’d be MOST greatful.
