Please Help! How to put an image with a link into a sidebar?
-
I very much regret choosing WordPress over Blogger, but, what’s done is done, and I have to make the best of it.
I have wordpress.com, not wordpress.org, so plugins are all pointless.
What I’m trying to do is somewhat simple – How do I put an image that links to an external website in my sidebar? I’m trying to make it so they can see the image and just click on it and it will be led to my shop.
Thanks in advance.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You upload the image from your computer to your blog via Media > Add New and copy the File URL, then you go to Appearance > Widgets and use an Image widget or coding in a Text widget.

You’re welcome!
And I’m glad you opted for the Text widget, as it’s more versatile.
(But you skipped the first part of my suggestion. Images uploaded to your blog load faster, plus you don’t run the risk of a no-show if the other site doesn’t work or if the image gets relocated or removed.)
