Hi!
Congrats with the new experience with WordPress! You will get used to it very fast, I’m sure!
About your questions:
You can find your post on the main page in the right sidebar (if I understood your question correctly). Also you can manage your website and place your blog posts on the main page (Theme – Customize – Front page – choose Blog).
I don’t know what do you mean about tasks – is it tags? Then when you add new post – in the left sidebar you have menu with the section Categories & Tags. Click there and write all tags that you want, dividing them with comma. In the same place you can choose the category (I think that may be you have the categories in your menu).
Best regards,

Thank you so much Olga.
Yes, I meant tags.
I tried to have different pages that would basically be different topics such as fashion, life, faith, music, product reviews, but it is not working as I would expect. The pages are blank and simply not functioning. I also wanted a basic home page that would have all my posts but all settings I have tried have not worked.
The one post I do have cannot be found in any of my primary menu pages. I really do not understand why.
I really appreciate your help so far. Please I need more of it.
Thank you Olga. -
hi!
No problem, lets look through other topics you need.
First of all: at your left sidebar you have section Menus. Click at this section, choose Primary menu and here you can add or delete sections that you want to see at your blogs menu. For example: Blog. Or any page you have. To do this – click on the “+” near the name of any section and choose what you need. To delete or edit the section – click on the pencil.
As for the home page, as I’ve said: Theme – Customize – Front page – and here choose Blog. Don’t forget to click “save&publish” button ;)
Try this and let me know if you need something more.
Best regards,

Hi Olga,
Thank you very much. I have done what you directed me to dl. However, I have tried and I do not kno how to actually go about allocating posts to each page such as Fashion, Reviews, etc.
If you could help in any way, I woulf really appreciate it. You have been of immense help already.
Thank you. -
You need to understand how dynamic category pages work. They automatically update but static pages do not.
You start by assigning the minimal amount of relevant categories to each post that actually describe the content in the post.
Selective assignment of relevant categories and tags to your posts can attract more views. (Categories and tags can be assigned only to posts, not to pages.)
All support docs are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/
Search for categories

https://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=tags

The combined total of categories and tags on any post must not exceed 15 or it will not display on Categories and Tags pages and in the WordPress.COM Reader. After removal of the excess categories and/or tags note it may take several days for your posts to begin displaying there and in the Reader. Also, note that posts do not display in the Reader forever. Posts only display in the WordPress.COM Reader for 60 days.
re: custom menu
This is a one or the other situation. You have two choices on any blog
(1) All posts on the front page.
(2) Or a static front page http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ and all posts on a different page.By default the front page of a blog displays all published posts in reverse chronological order with the most recently published post on top. When we publish a post on WordPress software the software automatically creates the same entry in the Archives, and on the dynamic (automatically updating) Categories and Tags pages in accord with the Categories and Tags we assign to that post.
So when we create custom menu and add the dynamic (automatically updating) category pages to that custom menu we create the appearance (not the reality) of posting to more than one page.
You need to be aware that:
1. There are differences between posts and pages described here
https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/2. There are differences between static pages we bloggers create https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ that will not automatically update, and dynamic category pages created by the software when you publish a post which will automatically update https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/.
3. We organize posts by category assignment prior to publication. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/ and when we publish posts the dynamic category pages they automatically display on are determined by the categories we assign to them.
So the process you need to use is:
a. Assign Categories to your Posts. https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories
b. Create a custom menu https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#1-create-a-custom-menu
c. Add only the dynamic category page links into the custom menu that you want to appear in that menu https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/view-all/#adding-category-pages and arrange them as you wish them to appear https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/view-all/#changing-the-order-creating-sub-menus
d. Create pages and sub-pages for static content, not for posts https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
e. Add any custom links and other items like static pages and sub-pages into your custom menu
https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/view-all/#adding-custom-links https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/view-all/#adding-pages
and arrange them as you wish them to appear https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/view-all/#changing-the-order-creating-sub-menusPlease see https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/

Hi!
There are a lot of useful information already in the previous message.
Long story short:
Fashion, Reviews, etc. – are your categories. If you want to see some of your posts at this pages, just add the category “Fashion”, for example, to the post that you want to show at the Fashion page. I already describe you how to add categories. After this – go the section Menu and add the category Fashion to that part of menu that you want (it can be submenu also). How to edit menu – you can also find in my previous answer.
If you would have any problems with this – tell me in which part you have it!
Best regards,
Olga
