    Hey horatiohadley,

What are you trying to accomplish with your website? I feel that the free plan is good enough for most members. But for some, customization will feel limited. so I’d recommend them to upgrade to the premium plan.

Some benefits to upgrading to a premium plan are:

    • unique domain name. (eg: SUPERDUPERAWESOME.com)
    • remove ads
    • more customization options
    • more space, I’m assuming you’d like that more if you’re running a photography review website(13G, up from 3G)
    • email & live chat support

And if you really want the bell and whistles, you can step up to the business plan which include:

    • over 50 premium themes
    • unlimited space for your files and media
    • google analytics

    Hope this helps!

Here is what I am trying to achieve:

I would like to make a website where I list photographers who offer workshops. In addition, I would like to have readers have the ability to comment on the workshops they took. If possible, I would like to be able to list the workshops via locations, domestic and international. As many search options as I can add, I would like to. For example, by state or country; via permitted and licensed; and the option to add more.

In addition, I would like to have a blog attached to my website.

That is just for starters. Also, is there anyway I can just use photography workshopreview.com without the wordpress in the address?

    Thank you.

Thank you v1l27u3 for your reply. I would like to pay for one of the services, but I do not know CSS. Is this a requirement?

One other question, is there any way to capitalize the P, W, R in PhotographyWorkshopReview.com?

    Thank you.

You can absolutely do this with the free plan.

I’d consider WordPress to be a quintessential blog tool! The free plan facilitate this as well.

If you would like to have your own domain name without the wordpress.com in the adress, you would have to upgrade to the premium plan or do a domain mapping. Unfortunately, photographyworkshopreview.com domain name is taken.

    Hope that helps!

Thank you so very much for taking the time to respond. I already own PhotographyWorkshopReview.com, I purchased it a while ago.

I will look at the premium plan.

    Thank you so very much.

It’s not a requirement to know CSS, but it will definitely give you more customization power! To learn the basics go to:

One other question, is there any way to capitalize the P, W, R in PhotographyWorkshopReview.com?

Absolutely, but unforutnately that domain name is taken :(

Awesome that you own the domain name!
I made an error, no you cannot change the display of your domain name into upper case. Sorry!

    Take cares!

  • Thanks for your help here, @v1l27u3 :)

And I’ve fixed the glitch, @timthief. Cheers!
