PLEASE HELP "incorrect number of visitors in my monthly statistics"

    THIS IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT INQUIRY. PLEASE COMPARE MY DAILY STATISTICS ( TABLES) WITH MY MONTHLY TABLE FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH. I AM SHORT IN MY MONTHLY TABLE BY 44 VISITORS WHEN I COMPARE IT WITH MY DAILY NUMBER OF VISITORS FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH. IN THE FIRST 9 DAYS OF MARCH I HAD 186 VISITORS and 1140 CLICKS. THE NUMBER OF CLICKS DISPLAYED in MARCH TABLE SEEMS TO BE CORRECT BUT THE NUMBER OF VISITORS IS 142 ( as of today) AND THAT IS 44 short when COMPARED TO MY DAILY STATISTICS. THIS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT ISSUE THAN JEREMY HELPED ME SUCCESSFULLY TO RESOLVE. IN HIS CASE, THE NUMBER OF VISITORS SEEMED TO BE UNUSUALLY LOW FOR THIS ONE PARTICULAR DAY ( IN MY DAILY TABLE) AND THE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED. THE PROBLEM I AM WRITING MY THIRD EMAIL ABOUT- THE FIRST ONE WAS SENT ON MARCH 5th IS DIFFERENT> JUST SIMPLY DO THE MATH. ADD ALL VISITORS IN MY DAILY STATISTICS AND COMPARE THIS NUMBER WITH MY MONTHLY TABLE. PLEASE HELP. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED. I DON’T KNOW HOW ELSE I CAN MAKE IT CLEAR. PLEASE ASK IF YOU STILL HAVE PROBLEMS UNDERSTANDING. REGARDS. WANDA

    You really should fix your keyboard

    If a person visits your site once a day for a month, in a month that has 30 days, they will show up

    daily = 1 visitor
    Weekly = 1 visitor
    Monthly = 1 visitor

    But if you add up their daily visits they would total as follows

    Daily total = 30
    Weekly total = 4 (give or take a bit since there are 4.33 weeks in a month)
    Monthly total = 1

    Don’t look at ones & twos – all stats are a best guess / estimate – they try and filter out the search engines and other robots and only show you live people – no two stats programs will match each other – look at the trend over a long time –

    Thanks for claryfying this issue for me. Simple yet vague way of doing statistics ( in my opinion). I hope your response will help other users to understand the discrepencies of wordpress statistics. Regards. Wanda

    All CAPS IS VERY VERY RUDE – MANY PEOPLE LET ALL CAPS QUESTIONS SIT WITH NO ANSWERS

    You have several threads on the same subject – that also wastes the time of those that help in the forum – questions are answered when someone that knows the answer sees the question

    Most of the questions in the forum are by your fellow bloggers that don’t get paid for putting up with rude questions
