how to hide new posts from main page?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Pages are static and are for content that rarely changes. They sit outside of the blog structure and you cannot post to multiple pages in any blog. There is only one main page for posts in a blog and all posts will display on the main blog page in reverse chronological order with the most recent post on top. There is no way to exclude posts from the main posts (blog) page.
The front page of the blog by default will display your posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. Then you designate the Welcome page as your static front page here > Settings > Reading and the “Blog” page to display your posts. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

one more question:P
I want to add html code to show visitor counter on my page. so how i can do this?
-
You can add the stats widget wordpress provides which will show the number of page views.
To use a different service, you have to use the plain HTML version (not javascript) and then put that HTML code into a text widget in your sidebar. Here are a couple of posts from timethief’s site regarding stat counters that will work here. (I’ve not included the http:// at the beginning since it would likely get me caught by the spam filter.)
