please help me get my blog right

  Hi all,
  I like the way the theme I chose looks. Right now I just post some of my writing to my blog but I want to add my photography as well. My idea is if anyone is ever interested in my photography or writing that I need 1 on-line place that tells them everything they need to know including links to my social-media accounts that they can follow if they choose. With the vast choices of sites that one can use I’ve decided that word-press is the best choice. If I have a photo or a story I want to have it on my blog and let my blog be the link that I can promote. But setting it up just right is what I’m struggling with. When I post a link to my blog and someone visits it I hope my blog will be easy to navigate whether they want to look at my photos or read a story or find out more about or contact the author. I know I need a better bio and will work on that today. But with what I already have please tell me the route I should take my blog and how I should set it up. Thank you, sincerely, Ian
