please help me respond to an email message from wordpress
-
Today I wanted to take care of this business with WordPress but can’t figure out what to do. I received this notice (copied below) a mere 5 days before the product was set to expire. I can find no information on my account for this product and don’t know whether it will be deleted. There is nothing under purchase history. No charge was made on my credit card.
This email is to notify you that the following product(s) is set to expire on the date(s) listed:
(domain name) – Sep. 25, 2021
ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (and/or the associated ccTLD authority), requires that we send this renewal notice before a domain’s expiration date. Please note: If auto-renew is enabled for your product(s), we’ll automatically attempt to process a renewal for you before the expiration date(s).
You can renew your product(s) or verify that auto-renew is enabled via the Purchases section of your WordPress.com dashboard.
Site: susandegaia.com.
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: Unknown -
Hi there!
The domain is registered under a different WordPress.com account. You’re logged into
susandegaiawhich is not the correct account. That’s why you don’t see the domain on your Purchases page. You’ll need to log out of this account and log in to the correct account. Due to security reasons, we aren’t able to reveal more information about the other account. But we have password reset instructions (along with other ways to restore access to your account) here: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/ –
Note: You must use the same email address that was used on your other WordPress.com account.
A good trick is to check the recipient’s email address in the email that you received. Then you can use that email address to reset the password at this link: https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword (Make sure to log out of this WordPress.com account before you do this.)
If you don’t have access to that email, you’ll want to follow our account recovery instructions and submit the transaction ID for any previous payments made from the other account (like the previous domain renewals). You can see how to locate the transaction ID on your credit card statement here: https://wordpress.com/support/billing-history/#on-your-credit-card-statement
Once you have the transaction ID, please submit that via the account recovery form here: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form
Do not post the transaction ID on this forum as it is sensitive information. We’ll get back to you soon after you’ve submitted the account recovery form.
Regards
